ANDREW R. NOVO

Professor of Strategic Studies at the National Defense University's College of International Security Affairs, Washington, DC, Dr. Novo specializes in alliances, East Mediterranean Affairs, and great power competition. He is an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced Studies and at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service.

He is also a Senior Non-Resident Fellow in the Transatlantic Defense and Security Program at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), and a Non-Resident Fellow for the Eastern Mediterranean at the Hellenic Institute (AHI).

Dr. Novo holds an A.B. in classical history from Princeton University, and two graduate degrees from the University of Oxford in England: an M.Phil in international relations and a D.Phil in modern history.

He speaks French and Modern Greek, and is conversant in Italian.

Dr. Novo resides in Maryland with his wife and two sons.
